The HealthPass benefit includes:
- A personal assessment of each employee's health habits and lifestyle.
- A biometric screening, which includes:
- Height, weight and body mass index (BMI
- Waist measurement
- Body fat analysis
- Blood pressure
- Blood cholesterol (total and HDL)
- Blood glucose (fasting)
- Resting heart rate
- A personal health coaching session conducted by a health professional, incorporating
the results of the lifestyle assessment and biometric screening.
Employees may be eligible for additional preventive screening services based on their risk factors and plan benefits, such as:
- Health maintenance exam
- Bone Density testing for osteoporosis
- Fecal occult blood test (colon cancer screening)
- Sigmoidoscopy (colon cancer screening)
- Mammogram (regular health plan benefits apply)
All of this is available as a plan benefit at no additional cost for HMSA members.
HMSA members' spouses are welcome also, if space is available. We will also provide
the health screening service to non-HMSA members, if requested, for a fee of
$80 plus tax, per person.
* A minimum of 25 participants is required to bring HealthPass to the worksite.
Companies with 50 or more participants will receive an in-depth aggregate report,
which assesses the company’s most prevalent health conditions, risk factors and
biometric indicators.
