Programs are designed to assist members with the behavior changes required to incorporate
their health action plans into their everyday lives.
The programs are practical, experience-based and help members learn how to create
a new, healthier lifestyles, one step at a time.
HMSA members learn how to make and maintain lifestyle changes and learn practical
information on exercise, nutrition, aging, and stress management. Throughout the
series of health education classes, the staff promotes the use of existing health
or fitness resources in the community.
When members graduate from the programs, they leave with the knowledge to maintain
their behavior changes and are encouraged to annually assess their progress by returning
to HealthPass. Also, members can return to the health education classes if they
need a "refresher" to move forward toward reaching their health goals.
